Going a little bit off-topic here, but I started out with Power Domes for my Spheres. They were a pain to clean each day. cShells are extremely easy to clean and earwax does not seem to adhere to them as much as for Power Domes.
I actualy found that unless speech was set to very narrow, near the top end of the slider, it wasn’t that effective. at least, not to my liking. What I mean is, setting it to 1 or 2 didn’t do much for me orr it let in too much from the sides that wasn’t part of my conversation. setting it to 4 or 5 allowed some from the sides but it was closer to me and generally the bubble around my head was just more acceptable. I mean the whole thing sounds really weird and artificial anyway when it’s on, but it can be useful to drown out the roar and especially when you have large machines, fridges, coffee makers etc near by and want to hear someone.
Last Wednesday I had an appointment for an earmold impression. I’ve never had it this deep and this is the first time I’ve been completely deaf during its curing. It’s also the first time in my 25-year adventure with that I’ve had an extra impression with my mouth fully open (I have almost a 1 cm - 10 mm difference in the entrance to the ear canal between the closed and open jaw states).
However, I am a bit annoyed because I requested as small a vent as possible (and even no vent at all), and only after I got back home did I realize that they filled in AOV in the SDS 6.0 form…
And I should get SDS 4.0/SDS 5.0, because I want to try a new mold first with my Paradise, and if it is good, later with Sphere.
I will visit them with the form just filled by me, I hope they wouldn’t take it as an insult.
Other characteristic:
titanium, possibly long (first time, always had acrylic skeleton)
deep enough to be in bony part of ear canal
extended (longer) removal filament to pull off the cShell
extra retention (rougher titanium surface for better grip)
I just tried to see if the titanium cShells (lumity life) can fit in the new Sphere case, and at least mine do. I’m sure the experience may be a little different for others with larger molds.

I find the power domes on Phonak, the most comfortable. But a drop of Oto-Ease makes a big difference. I apply it via a cue tip, dip the cue tip into the bottle, rotate it against the bottle top,on the way out, to remove most oil, than ring it around the double domes. Every other day or so. Works well.
You may want to get a different size dome for one ear? If different size ears ?
Would a be easier to remove from your ear than a power dome ? I had a closed dome come off in my a few times. Not sure what you mean by a week, but I immediately used a long nose plyer to remove it. Once I used a tweezer. It taught me that I am more comfortable with long nose plyers. But you have to have the right tool - small size and long nose.
