My friend Andrew Bellavia recently wrote up his experiences with Nexia hearing aids. Looks cool. Good news, you can still use your old non-auracast phone :slight_smile:

GN made available a beta version of their app for iOS which is not yet publicly released. It has all the features of the production Nexia app plus Auracast tuning.

I would absolutely love to hear how sounds for movie theatres and other public venues where they could take advantage of the new technology. Maybe even in courtrooms or public speaking locations, too.

It sounds like it would be a perfect replacement for /induction loop…

What does this mean? Wat is “equal measure”?

Then I dialed in both in equal measure.

And does the following mean that all hearing aid brands can listen in if they support ? Is there a delay for non-ReSound devices?

it would have been difficult at best to hear Richard speak if he had not been wearing GN ReSound’s clip-on Multi-Mic+ with Auracast. The difference between that and a typical partner mic is that anyone with an Auracast-compatible hearing aid or earbud could have tuned in.

This was a Beta version, meaning it’s not a released product. It doesn’t exist. While omitted in the article, there is still much to figure out about in large venues (movie theatres and other public venues, courtrooms or public speaking locations).

For equal measure it means he unmuted the mics and balanced them with the streamed volume.

And, Yes it means all brands that support Auracast and even earbuds should be able to hear the transmission. There should not be a delay difference as it is the same Auracast stream.

Maybe I misunderstood, to listen to the music, required that the function had to used on his iPhone? But, when listening to speech didn’t require using the phone?
