Reduced battery life using aid with Cros

Anyone using Signia 71X hearing aid with a cros?
Interested in battery life of the aid as previous experience with Starkey aid with Cros resulted in battery running out of charge in about 10 hours.

I have the Signia Charge & Go AX7 and after about 39 months the Cros unit is only lasting for maybe nine hours. I’m still checking on whether that battery can even be replaced. Supposedly Signia won’t do it even with me paying for the replacement.

They are 100% lying, if they refuse to repair a hearing aid out of warranty. It isn’t for free of course, but Signia will never refuse to repair it after 5 years if you weren’t sold an old .

Sorry, I misread the inference this morning, I thought it was an out of warranty issue.

Aside from that, if they don’t swap the batteries, they’ll be able to put the same serial number on a new unit.

Is there a way to tell if the serial number is transferred? Do the manufacturers let people know? Should one put a small mark on the aid somewhere not visible before sending aids in for repair?

You shouldn’t need to, but a slight scuff/scratch on the case will identify if it’s been replaced or repaired. We see a mix of full replacements and re-worked products. Custom vs. Standard products have different repair regimes and different manufacturers also have different approaches.

As long as it gets returned as a fully working product, does it actually matter?
