I am a long-time Phonak user who is trying a switch to Oticon. Since I use Phonak #2 receivers, I ordered the same length for Oticon Opn but they “seem” to be shorter.
I looked up some old threads on this subject and there seems to be a consensus that Oticon wires are shorter than Phonak. However, I see that the Oticon wires go deep into the “kink” at the top of the ’s and this “kink” is actually part of the receiver wire length.
Does this mean that Oticon HA’s have the distinctive shape so that they are worn on top of the ear rather than behind the ear?
Before I spend $100 on longer receivers, I would welcome any thoughts on this.
