Additional Programs made on target not showing in Myphonak

Hi, I made 4 additional programs for my Phonak Infinios on Phonak target. Then I saved them on the session and on the hearing aids. So to I wanted to access them using my Phonak app, but the additional programs that I previously made don’t show like the additional ones that are make on my Phonak app. Is there a way to see them on my phonak app ? Thanks

I find that custom programs based on existing programs have the same name in the app as the program they are based on. I uncheck the original program in Target to reduce the number of programs shown in my app. If I don’t do that I just remember that the custom program is the second one shown with the same name. I wish that the app would show the name of the program given in target.

Thanks, that is very helpful, I noticed, as you said, that there are two programs with the same name, so the second program with the same name is the additional program that I made. That’s not write on any manual and as you say the Phonak app should show the name given on target.

Thanks @raylock1 I’ve just hit the same problem. I agree that it’s really annoying that the program name assigned in Target isn’t used in the user app. This must surely be a bug. Did earlier versions of Target behave the same. I’ve only just started experimenting with Target and my plan was to set up a number of test programs all based on spheric in loud noise with my Infinio i9s to see if I can get some better results with higher pitch voices in restaurants.

Hi @tenkan It’s really annoying that the program name assigned in Target isn’t shown in the MyPhonak app. With your extensive programming experience I expect you know about this problem and I just wondered if you’d discovered any alternative workarounds to the one described by @raylock1? I was intending to create a number of programs all based on spheric in loud noise with my Infinio i9s so I could more quickly compare alternative settings in the real world situation of a restaurant. Unfortunately I don’t use Phonak, lots of people complaining about this tho, probably not a solution but have you tried the Amperfon App (Phonak version) to see if something could be done there.

Many thanks @tenkan that’s an interesting and potentially useful lateral thought. Unfortunately I’m in the UK where the Amplifon Android app isn’t available due to licencing restrictions. I guess I could try the Amplifon apk (Android Package Kit). But before diving in I wondered if anyone has tried the Amplifon app with Phonak Infinio Sphere i90s?

There can be a work around, but it takes some effort and I am not sure how permanent is. You can create up to 4 special programs in Target (at least that is the most that my Target will permit) and then when they appear in the app, you can use each of them as the basis for a new app program which you can name however you want (up to 22 characters) and then delete the original program on the app (not in Target). Not an elegant solution but may work. I tried it and it worked but I did not stress test for all the possible issues (like making a subsequent change to your program or anything else in Target)
