Advice regarding turning to lumity CROS

I had a SSHL in my Left ear in July 2024 after COVID-19.

My right ear has mild to moderate I hear well but I struggle with low frequencies. First I put Windex hearing aid in the Left ear with SSHL but I didn’t have speech recognition at all. Then I turned to apair of phonake lumity premium in both ears. Speech clarity with background noise is still challenging as well as hearing from distance like when you’re in a meeting.

Unfortunately, last assessment showed a drop in the Left ear resulting in a profound hearing loss. Iam currently thinking to turn to Bi and Iam not sure if it will benefit me special that speech recognition in My good ear is better without hearing aid but I struggle with low frequencies. Any advice?

Putting your in your profile setting could help in providing more accurate advices. What’s your score in left, in right ear and binaurally.

For what I read, it is worth considering at least cochlear implant () evaluation. This would provide you much information about your hearing loss and don’t oblige you to perform with surgery. However if you have no hearing in the poorer ear, the sooner you get the CI, the easier rehabilitation will be.
