My Phonak does not have bluetooth or other wireless capabilities. It does come with the Mini Control, a magnetic wand that can change programs/volume.
For a week in Dec, my aid started changing programs/volume randomly behaving just like if I used the wand. Sometimes it was just once, sometimes 4 or so changes like if you held and pressed the wand rather than just tap. Sometimes it would happen without touching the aid, while other times it would happen when I pressed the aid into my ear.
When I look up this issue, it says it’s a known failure in the magnetic mechanism especially since the aid is brand new. However, it seems to be isolated to that particular week when there was also a horrible rain storm and it was on one specific battery. Anyone familiar with this issue? Reason I’m asking is I’ve had to get my aid remade 15 times or so in 2025 alone and am very sick of this process; the aid is otherwise fine.
