Has anyone here have or used an alarm system called Slmpl Alerts.

My husband has Parkinson's. Last night he really needed me, and was yelling help. I was sleeping. I cannot sleep with my aids in. I couldn't hear him.

He finally was able to push on the bed which woke me up and I was able to help him.

This Smpl Alert is where he can wear an call alert . I would have a receiver that I would wear on my waist band.

If he needs me, all he has to do is push the button and my receiver would vibrate, flash a light and sound an alert to get my attention. Since I can't hear anything once my aids are out I was wondering if the vibration would be strong enough to wake me.

Would anyone have any knowledge for this system ?

but I'm struggling to understand how you would sleep with a belt clip receiver. I suppose you could put it inside your pillowcase, or something like that....

ditto for the neck lanyard for him...seems hard to sleep with.

Just thinkin' out loud... I reckon I'd tried to find a wrist mounted transmitter and wrist mounted receiver...or maybe a wrist mounted thing for him that would ring your phone or something that you have set up for you to hear

or

maybe go old school (aka simple) and he could have some sort of wrist mounted noisemaker.... one of those panic alarm things that just rings a loud alarm1, that you'd hear from the next room!

Laura_B, My wife has Parkinson's and I wear hearing aids (but not in bed.) Yours has been a much discussed subject in our household! Years ago when my wife had surgery, I bought a cow bell for her (absolutely no insult intended dear.) That thing is loud. And there is no mistaking it for any other noise. Sometimes really, really old tech, works.
