I’ve been dealing with the dreaded hissing noise (that’s also been called floor noise here) from my Oticon Intent 1s since December. My audiologist has been wonderful and tried everything he could think of and all previous suggestions here with no success.
I think he found my solution and I wanted to share it. I have for low frequency hearing loss and I was wearing . My Oticon audiologist settings were for closed domes. However, when he changed the dome style settings to open dome, the hiss noise IMMEDIATELY went away once the setting took effect. After dealing with the hiss for so long, hearing was so peaceful again (not feeling like I lived in the HVAC). We did not change my dome style from closed to open, just his computer settings for my hearing aids. I’m still using closed domes.
It helped some other things like “air noise" and my hair doesn’t rustle as much. I’m so much happier.
I hope this helps others who are dealing with the same experience (and if not there are some other great suggestions around here like changing the pinna slider - not sure myself what that is but my audiologist did).
