I have dealt with it for the better part of 30 years. I am 49 now. Profound hearing loss. I just had another hearing test done today to get fitted for new aids, and as usual, the frequencies I could not hear were in the 6k range. Every time that tone is the exact same as my tinnitus.

An audiologist can suggest the best frequency to address that (which doesn’t mean it will work). Try the Widex Zen App available from your App Store , it uses fractal sounds ( quasi random frequency sounds is a rough way of explaining it).
