Hi all. I have Resound Quattro linx.
I upgraded to an iPhone 13 mini a couple years ago and noticed a significant decrease in audio streaming quality. My Bluetooth does not disconnect but the sound cuts out in my hearing aids constantly. It’s worse when the phone is near my body, it’s worse when I am outside, and it is worse when I use any gps tracking apps at the same time. I am outside all the time to bike, walk, run, snowboard, and garden and I can barely stand listening to music. I also can’t walk nearly as far from my phone as I used to before it cuts out.
I know there were a lot of threads with Bluetooth quality with sound dropping and static back in 2020 when the 12 first came out. It seems the static was fixed? But are folks still having issues with the sound cutting out?
I’ve had a case open with Apple for a year or so trying to get them to take me seriously. They keep telling me it’s a manufacturing issue. I even conducted my own study (8 iPhones, 3 hearing aids including brand new ones, and 10 scenarios such as biking or phone in back pocket). Only variable is the generation of the iPhone, so iPhone 12 and later have the issue. The only time I could replicate the issue with the pre 12 iPhones was when one of the phones was right side up in my back pocket, but not upside down.
I’ve got an Apple senior advisor assigned to my case. And managed to get someone at the Genius Bar to say this is a high up issue with Apple. Guess I am just looking for verification that others are also still having this issue? Or if there is a fix to know what it is?
