Are my Phonak hearing aids really IIC? Bad fit?

Hi!

Got my new Phonak Virto P10 NW today. They are supposed to be . I have quite a narrow ear canal.

After fitting them (see pictures) I think that they are slightly protruding. The audio is fine, but when looking at pictures I am a bit worried they are not correctly fitted. I can’t get them further in though. Anyone familiar with the model and know if this is normal? I can push them in a bit, but they just glide out to the point shown in the pictures…

They LOOK small. They are probably as small as they can be without going titanium and your ear size is the limitation. If they go in deeper when you push them and then slide out, it may be that you just have a very slopey ear canal (me too) and need a canal lock added (like a little foot in the bottom of your concha) to help keep them in. If they go in deeper by then work out when you talk or chew it may be that motion of the ear canal is pushing them out and maybe getting a new open or moving jaw impression would help, but maybe not.

Talk to your clinician about them. Was your clinician thrilled when you chose an , or were they hesitant?
