Audiogram while wearing HA. How to interpret result?

Hello DIYselfers,

I’m not happy with my settings (speach is not clear) so I decided to make an wearing my hearing aids.(Phonak Audeo Paradise).
If adjusted correctly regarding amplification of frequencies I suppose that the marks should more or less follow a horisontal line along the amplification () over the frequencies.Same amplfication for all frequencies.

In my case it doesn´t. 250 and 375 Hz are some 10 dB lower and from 4k and above to 8k aplification(as set) goes up 10-30dB.
What can I learn from my audiogram? Especially in the high frequencies there seems to be lacking in amplification.

I use Target.

Interested to hear your opinion about my approach.

In an ideal theoretical world, everyone should have a flat line at 15dB or better at all frequencies but this approach is not very practical.

If I understand correctly, you did the using Phonak Target’s in-situ audiogram (vs wearing headphones over the aids and do the test).

In practice, hearing aid formulas are created to enhance frequency gains crucial for speech understanding. As shown in the picture, the goal is to make the speech components within the banana audible, which don’t follow a flat line.

Different formulas can give you different gains/amplifications. For example, DSLv5 adult can give you more boost at higher frequencies. You can try different formulas to see if one works better than the other for you.

I think this is what you were asking, did I understand your question correctly?

Thanks for your input! Yes, you understood my question correctly! I actually used this https://hearingtest.online/ with a loudspeaker in front of me wearing my . The outcome is quite similar to sitting at an audie. The I get is also like a banana but sad one(sloping at lows and highs).
So, as far as I understand ftom my audiogram with HA, the high frequencies coming to my ear must be louder to be heard by me. Quite the opposite to what the hearing formulas want to achieve. Maybe thats why I have difficulties understanding speach. Maybe I should try to increase the high frequencies?
I use the Phonac Adapt formula. Basis setting based on audiogram made by my audie 18 months agto.
I wonder if maybe Sound Recover (on) influences the amplification needed to hear frequencies over the SoundRecover treshold.
