Hearing aid supplier in Switzerland there prices are very competitive but has any one any knowledge of them
out of frustration I have Genie and a Noalink and have become confident with the software so buying aides with out set up at a reasonable cost makes sense
any one else doing or thinking of doing this?

I live in Switzerland and just hopped over the border into France to buy my Phonaks- this is still partially reimbursed by Swiss insurance.

If Oticon’s warranty is worldwide and you can self-program (which is not that hard), making the trip may make sense.

How does it work there re: insurance ?
In the US , the warranty must be filed via the dispensing audiologist (from what I’ve read in Oticon’s web page).

Thanks, if I buy in Uk will cost me over 4500 euro prohibitive a contact in France to buy from would be great, I must go Geneva later this month for work so a side trip would be easy

There is no insurance other than the manufactory warranty seems the Audiologist are charging huge amounts for support which for me meant a forty-mile round trip for 10 mins with someone who was disinterested, that’s why I learnt to set my own aides up.

In Switzerland, are reimbursed by the national (Assurance Invalidité), at about 825 CHF/HA. You first need to see an AI-approved , and pick a HA from a pre-approved (very large) list, but you can buy them abroad.

Living in Geneva I got my Phonaks at Optical Center in Annemasse (on the border with Geneva, accessible by tram 12). Sadly they do not give you back the French VAT (over 20%) as you export your HAs (but other shops may). You can find many more stores in Annecy (about half an hour away), and especially in Lyon (an hour away).
