Best Phonak Aids for Profound Hearing Loss - Age 49 Android User

Hello All…. I have been an wearer since I was 12 years old. I am 49 now. I have used Phonak’s for 15 years. I had a great set of Naida ’s for 10 years or so with the neckloop. Those broke about 5 years ago and I got the Virto Marvel 312 70’s. Those have been pretty good, especially the Bluetooth streaming and phone capability with Android. Well, one of those I decided to step on over the weekend and crush. The only issue with those was that I had them maxed out and they whistled a lot. Whistling only happened within the last few years when I lost a lot of weight. Anyways, I just got fitted today, I want to try the Virto R Infinio’s. My test today revealed I’m another 5db higher than I was 5 years ago. But … the Infino’s have another 5-10 range above the Virto Marvels from 2021. I hope these work. IF not … what’s my best option? I want something with the latest Bluetooth … my only hatred for these current Virto Marvels is Bluetooth 4.2 and the cutout that happens when streaming music.

Why not switch back to , give yourself way more headroom for that loss of your’s, hard to believe your using Virto still, only Phonak brand?

the Resound Enzo IA has all the bells and whistles, including the latest features if that is what you are after.

If you’re looking for a power aid, I highly recommend trialling the Resound Enzo IA.

I was Phonak Nadia user from 2009 to 2015. I switched to the Resound Enzo in 2015 and upgraded to Resound Enzo IA two months ago, they are simply the best aids I had in fifty years of wearing hearing aids

As someone who has had severe > profound loss since age 3 with (profound left ear, with severe - to profound loss in my right) - I am now 46 - I wouldn’t ever dream of using a aid. For one thing, my audiologist has consistently recommended or because of the fact that I have such a severely profound hearing loss. Two, CIC aids would be of no use for me due to less amplification overall along with incredible feedback they would cause.

I highly prefer being able to hear over vanity. Wearing BTE aids have never bothered me in the least.

I am going to be trialing the Infinio I90 plus over the next few weeks, myself.
