Bluetooth adapter with Oticon ConnectClip

I have Oticon Real aids and use a ConnectClip to stream from my computer to the aids. It works pretty well. I have another device which only has old-fashioned analog audio out (3.5mm 1/8” jack) and I’m wondering how to interface that to my aids without buying an expensive Oticon TV Adapter. Amazon sells cheap bluetooth adapters that claim to connect legacy devices to Bluetooth. Has anyone here tried anything like these with a ConnectClip?

The Oticon Real uses Bluetooth LE.

The devices you listed use Bluetooth classic .

The two are not compatible.

Those Oticons cannot connect directly the way you describe without an Oticon Adapter . I’ve seen some on eBay listed for about $50 .

The only brand of aids that has universal connectivity is Phonak (and the Signia IX BCT)

@OcramSagev Thank you for the quick reply. I understand that Oticon Real won’t connect with a Bluetooth adapter. I own an Oticon ConnectClip and was wondering if the ConnectClip could interface my Real to the analog source through the cheap Amazon device (sketch below).

Can you use Connect Clip as a . Place it near the TV speaker (where the TV sound is produced) and the sound from the TV will be streamed directly to your ’s. Is this method workable for you?

That should work - the ConnectClip acting as a bridge between the bluetooth classic of your “walkman-adapter” and the bluetooth LE of the . Video below shows how it is done.
If you use it as a , the quality is not going to be as good (it will be mono instead of stereo).
