I’ve been using Shokz for years, initially on my daily commute when cycling to the station in my local town (OpenRun, now OpenRunPro after a bit of a mistake when packing my suitcase) and since the start of the pandemic for all teams calls (OpenComm, the ones with the mic boom).
They provide surprisingly good sound and have all day (plus some) battery life. They are comfortable and happily sit over the top of my glasses and my new Phonak Lumity hearing aids.
I’ve only just started wearing hearing aids as 4 weeks ago I lost most hearing in my left ear (an infection I think), but my right ear is mostly fine with just a very small amount of age related (and running a night club and concernts) normal hearing loss, so 6+ years (much longer but I cannot remember how long) of bone conduction don’t seem to have had an impact.
The only thing is that they (obviously) don’t block any external noise so if you are on a busy road, plane or underground, the external noise will prevent you listening to audiobooks, podcasts and music.
I’ve recommended them to friends and many people at work have now bought them.
