Bone conductive headsets just for entertainment?

I just tried a cheap bone conductive headset. very impressed…

it’s obviously no substitute for my regular hearing aids (resound nexia), but for listening to books, etc, much better clarity and is way more comfortable. my only problem is volume. i realise this in itself might well be a problem, but i was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with bone-conducting headsets that are budget-priced (i’ve spent enough on aids already!).

thoughts would be most welcome…

I tried the Shokz and found the bassline very weak, with high frequencies sounding flat and the mids just okay. They worked fine for podcasts and YouTube videos, but I didn’t enjoy them for music, so I returned them.

thanks. good to know. I’m really after them to listen to audio books whilst on my rowing machine. I find headphones too heavy and liable to slip of if I exercise as I should🥺

They are great for working out – plus they allow you to hear your surroundings .
