Cause of echo effect

Ever since I’ve been using (10 years) I’ve always had the same problem with an echo effect indoors, especially if the walls are relatively bare or especially hard. No problem at all outside. Also my own voice sounds really loud.
Currently using Phonak Audio P with those fitted acrylic ear moulds. I have tiny ear canals so regular domes wouldn’t stay in.
I’m considering getting those new Phonak Spheres but would like to solve the the dome issue first.
My audio has never understood what I am talking about. I think he finds my complaint annoying.
What about slim tips? Could they work better?

Echo is due to sound waves reaching your ear drum at different times. For example, the original sound is coming from the source of the sound, and a second wave is bouncing off a wall or other surface a short interval latter.

Edit: I misread this thread. Hopefully someone using Spheres can test them in an echo environment for this individual.

The Spheres might help if the echo issue is outside of your ears. The only way to know is to try them.

A cheap alternative, may be to go to Costco and trial the Jabra 30 hearing aids. They are offer a 180 day trial period to get a refund.

Both the Spheres and the Jabra 30/ Resound Vivia are suppose to improve hearing in noise.

The Jabras and ReSound have the Environmental Optimizer and Noise Tracker settings that can help.

I assume other hearing aids have similar features that can be adjusted. The types of domes used also matters. Open domes don’t have the occlusion effect.
