Can anyone advise me how I can achieve better hearing when I attend meetings. I would like to try setting up a omnidirectional microphone to my Phonak lumity ha.
I am trying to find a low cost solution rather than spend four figures on a roger solution.

Phonak don’t want you doing this, this is one of the reasons they haven’t done the “promised” LE audio with firmware update.
Look on eBay for used Roger unit’s if possible.
You could use a FlooGoo FMA120/121 to add support to Phonak Lumity hearing aids. Then you can either use a standalone Auracast microphone, or use a spare old phone together with another FMA120/121 as an Auracast microphone.
If you already have a spare phone, the total cost for two FMA120s would be less than USD 100.
Please note that since the received Auracast audio is still streamed to the Phonak hearing aids over classic Bluetooth A2DP, there will be a noticeable delay.
To minimize the delay, it may be possible to create a customized firmware for the FMA120/121 that streams microphone audio directly to the Phonak hearing aids via HFP. However, if the hearing aids cannot handle multiple Bluetooth links well, this could interrupt the HFP connection with the user’s phone (used for calls), which may not be very convenient.
The FMA120 upgrades phones, laptops, TVs, and other sources via USB audio—no driver required on Windows, macOS, or Linux. It adds aptX Adaptive (incl. Lossless) and Auracast™ broadcast, plus unicast for music and voice with -capable...
First, I’d like to thank @d_Wooluf for introducing our FMA120 as an Auracast and LE Audio transmitter last year. Without that introduction, we might never have discovered this wonderful place to connect directly with our customers.
Since we launched the FlooGoo FMA120 in November 2023 on Amazon, we’ve received tremendous feedback from early adopters of LE Audio and Auracast, especially from the hearing aid community. As with any new technology, Auracast faces some compatibility challenges, an…
