But I planned to use the TV connector with the TV…
I guess in my mind the ease of streaming directly is so appealing I want to be able to connect this way to everything. Except my teen children.

I am not positive Speech Direct is Speech in 360
Speech Direct is Speech in 360 in Phonak M90. I had it activated as a Manual program about 3 months ago. I also use it to suppress background noise. It does it quite aggressively, with the Noise Manager set at moderate(16) as default. When my house furnace fan kicks in too frequently I switch from Auto to Speech Direct. It works like a charm. I can hear anyone calling me from anywhere in the house but don’t have to put up with the noises. ![]()

and I come from a world of flashing firmware on android phones a few years back. Thankfully I never bricked a phone but must have been close at times. Could one “flash” the Marvel Audio M90 firmware onto the KS9s?

Hopefully the connectors are far enough apart they don’t fight for connection with your aids. Otherwise these connectors have an on/off switch on them.

They will only pair with one Bluetooth device like your phone or laptop for example.
But they will connect with a few, not sure how many, TV connectors. Anything the TV connector will connect to will be streamed to your aids.
I am not an expert at this stuff, just trying to help.

I know this sounds a little extreme, but I bought a second pair of hearing aids that I use for the gym. They are paired with my Apple Watch. I did it when I realized I was about to pay $6000 for a different brand of hearing aids with no back up then switched over to Costco’s KS9’s. So, I could own two pair (and have two bluetooth connections without having to pair every time I went to the gym) for half the cost of the others. Now, I also have a backup pair of ’s should something happen.

And as the end of your 3 year warranty approaches, you can send a pair back to likely it have it’s internals replaced and still have a pair to use.

I’m sure this may have been asked and answered before. Now that we have experience with the K9S, do you think its worthwhile alternating the batteries from left to right, every day, in order to extend battery life?

Hey all, just left Costco and I ordered a set of KS 9’s. I got the one with the tele coil. It was a no brainer as they are the same price and just slightly larger but still super small compared to the ones I’m wearing now. I read on here that someone thought they took a different battery. The T model still takes a 312. Which was also great since I’ve got quite a supply as my ’s I have now take 312.

Thanks for confirming battery size of 312 in the KS9 version. I would have preferred 13, but having good info is valuable.

That was me that reported the model took a size 13 battery. Sorry if I was mistaken. The Costco held it up in front of me and stated that it took a size 13 battery. I didn’t look closely enough to verify this but just assumed he knew what he was talking about. Perhaps not.

Thank you for this information. I tried a couple of experiments after getting your message. Right now, I forced Bluetooth streaming by turning on a radio app and turning the volume all the way down – no noise at all. I also borrowed my husband’s Fire tablet which my aids are not connected to. Again no noise. I want to connect my aids to the tablet to see if the noise is better or worse than with my Samsung S10e. My big question now, is how to put a permanent fix in place without having to continually stream. Bluetooth streaming is NOT a selectable program on Remote Link. Can that be added by the Costco fitter? I would use that as a work around so that I don’t have to have my radio turned on all the time. Once again, thank you for your information.

I just got back from Costco myself. I asked about the KS9 T coil aids battery question. You are correct as was Rasmus, they are 312 size batteries.

Hmm. I’m going to guess that it is possible if you had the firmware.

I’ve had my Kirkland 9s about 3 months now. Do you think I could exchange them for the version with the ? It would seem to be a nice feature to have for concerts, etc.

Asking Costco would be the best way to get that answer. I suspect they would exchange if asked but not sure.
Good luck with that.
