Yes you can plan for your normal day. However what happens if you forget your charger or don’t have your charger with you?
In that case, I have planned poorly or failed to execute my plan. When I got rechargeable , I purchased the extra turbo charger. That charger stays in my computer bag. Unless I’m just running errands or such, my computer bag goes where I go. If the charger is not in use, it is in the bag.
What happens if something comes up where you don’t have access to your charger?
This could happen, but would be a fairly serious situation. Evacuating an airliner, hotel fire, car crash, etc. Times where you cannot grab your stuff. In such cases, 1. I have bigger problems than charging my HAs and 2. I can find an audiologist who will sell me a charger. If push comes to shove and I have to order one, I have a spare (my original charger) at home.
Look I get that you find the charger convenient and it works for your lifestyle. At this time they don’t work for my lifestyle.
I get it, different strokes for different folks. I’m glad you found what works for you.
And I’m tired of audiologists, who don’t have to live with hearing aids, trying to push them on me.
Amen to that. My current is a HA wearer. He is retiring and just brought in a new AuD that has been profoundly impaired since birth. She is also great to work with. My first 2 AuDs at different clinics were not hearing impaired and provided less value.
People who are new to hearing aids, don’t even know that there are battery hearing aids.
Could well be true. My first 2 sets were disposable battery units. My current set is rechargeable. My AuD gave me the option on this latest set and I went for the rechargeables. I suspect not all clinics operate this way.
