Never again for me. Aud never meant any harm in fact she was really nice and I’d visited her a few times over the last few years. Apparently there was only a small amount of wax present, when she removed it the noise was horrendous and it actually hurt for couple of seconds. My hearing hasn’t been right since. For a few days after it was a nightmare I couldn’t make out what people were saying also when driving, I remember not been able to hear the car engine. This was 4 months ago it has got better but still have problems with the distortion. Like I’ve mentioned it’s hard to describe, voices sound very robotic or gravelly but odd days it’s fine. Last month I went to to be assessed for bi cros aids on nhs the doc removed some wax using some sort of pick.
According to Dr Cliff on YouTube showering and washing ears daily will keep ears clean of excessive wax.
