Do the phonak Infinio sphere hearing aids require an ear mold

Maybe I just need to get used to it, but I don’t like having something that completely eliminates outside noise. It’s like wearing earbuds all the time, and I don’t like that. I went from little tiny domes to titanium molds, which is like sticking my fingers in my ears.

Your activevents should be open most of the time you’re not on a call or streaming some media, or in a really loud situation. They will close on those other occasions, and it will be somewhat like having your fingers in your ears then. The most important aspect of this is for loud noise situations where you do not want unfiltered noise leaking into your ears unprocessed. The slimtips have no venting besides what goes through the activevent. This is intentional.

Mine were $100 per ear. My audiologist picked acrylic for me
