For the past month I’ve been getting ear fullness/ feeling of pressure around my ears. To the point it’s starting to get really distracting. A few years ago I was told I had Menieres disease. Luckily I rarely get the vertigo or dizziness but I believe my fluctuating hearing is a factor of the diagnosis.
I have taken out my hearing aids a lot lately as I was wondering if they were causing the discomfort - but did not make a difference. It’s really strange, that I feel just general things like the tv seem louder then they did in recent years at times but regular conversations seem lower and harder to understand fully.
I went in to my hearing doctor and they have asked me to try new hearing aids with skeleton molds. Tested me recently and want to test again tomorrow before getting fitted. My gut feeling is the molds might make the feeling of Fullness/ heavy even worse…….the dr thinks the newest aids with all the new technology “is a must”……. I’m just unsure why she is convinced that molds ar le the only option now instead of the power domes.
I’m open to try anything as this is not going away and getting to the point of distracting me from day to day operations.
Anyone had anything similar?
I’m very worried as had something similar twice before, when I had sudden hearing loss but came back each time with approx 10ish decibels of a loss that stayed permanent. Praying this doesn’t happen again or will put me in a dangerous place with what I can hear.
Ps. Went back to and they can’t see anything out of ordinary and even had mri done
