I am about to replace a pair of Phonak Audéo L90-R ’s I’ve been wearing since 10/17/22. I wear them about 16 hours per day. When I first got them, they retained enough charge to work all day, then I began getting warnings in the right one (the principle one) earlier and earlier in the evening. Now the right one shuts down as early as 8 PM, even though I carefully monitor and shut down apps that present a battery drain. I do live stream NPR several hours per day. I use the Phonak TV Connector to listen to an audiobook as much as 2 hours per day. I know that live streaming taxes the battery, as does Safari and Google Maps.
What else should I be considering.
Thanks

My audiologist at the University of Virginia Audiology reminded me that I should request that Phonak replace the batteries under the 3 year warranty. The first right ear replacement battery delivered even less service. It was replaced with one that showed slight improvement. The audiologist was uncertain if the replacements were reconditioned or new batteries. I’ve decided to designate them as backup batteries. She also fitted me with custom molds which much improved my hearing experience.
I live in a Continuing Care Retirement Community. A fellow resident chairs a bimonthly Hearing Support Group. He’s had his audiologist join us a few times to give talks and answer questions. That audiologist features a mobile service, at home care, and visits our Clinic regularly at no cost to the resident community.
I’m impressed by the statistics for Resound Vivia 9 and considering them as my new HA’s. We have installed in our main auditorium and have begun installing it in other meeting spaces. There are other features that appeal to me.
