This month I was contacted by Hammer Hearing aids in Ottawa Illinois because of an interest I had shown to an add on Facebook. I knew my hearing had degraded and I had the beginning of tinnitus
So I went and got my free hearing test which confirmed my feelings. The advisor then brought hearing aids which I put on and then the paperwork started. Usually I am pretty good but this day I must have been overwhelmed. Anyway it wasn’t the money as I had heard that these invisible devices were about 6000. But the finance company they give you is merciless. And after that if you leave and take them and you are not happy it’s 1250.00 to return them. Most people that are buying hearing aids are on older, probably on fixed income. 1250 is almost a whole social security check for a month. I just think it’s a little opportunistic, what do you think?
