Fitting rationales - proprietary or prescribed?

I am , and now I have a pair of Oticon Xceed 1 SP with two rationales in different main programs - proprietary DSE and prescribed v5a Adult. Same speech intelligibility, same sound quality - almost no difference in sound, but different fitting curves and different compression ratio. What of these rationales theoretically must be more correct - proprietary DSE, made by Oticon professionals for their own product, or prescribed DSL, made by international professionals for all-world products?

It’s all a matter of opinion. Some people say that the manufacturers fitting formulas are geared to easy acceptance by new users and are not necessarily the best. So they recommend trying the universal formulas to see which you like. On the other hand, there are those who say that the manufacturers formulas are fine tuned to suit their hardware and are therefore the best place to begin but expect to do some fine tuning.
