Hi All,
I'm new to hearing aids, but sadly not new to hearing loss. I'm an audio product design engineer with decades of experience.
I'm evaluating which hearing aids to purchase, and want to evaluate the fitting software for each of the products my audiologist is recommending.
Here are the devices he's proposing I choose from:
Starkey Omega + - 24 (Starkey Pro Fit)
ReSound Sensia - 9 (ReSound Smart Fit)
Oticon Reveal - 1 (Oticon Genie 2)
Can you please direct me to downloads for the latest versions of fitting software for each of these devices?
Any advice about which devices are better or worse than others as well as which fitting software has better controls. As an experienced audio engineer with experience in shaping audio in both analog and , I know I'll only get limited access to the inner workings, but I'd like to get as much control as possible.
I tried uploading my Audiologic Report, but I'm not sure if it made it. I have moderate to severe loss in the upper registers. It took 60-70dB for me to hear up around 4k. I can't distinguish between fricative sounds.
Thanks in advance.
