Well, there's this, among other websites against this company:

Plus, lots of other bad reviews for a number of reasons, including that it was old technology that is too slow to be of use. Some good reviews, but on the whole, it sounds like snake oil to make money to me. There are other companies that offer such a service.

Unless you are absolutely locked in to using a landline*, use your cell for this. There are apps for captioning live calls. I use Android Live Captions, they are amazingly accurate. I'd bet iOS has something also.
Also, if you have hearing aids, the odds are good you can stream from your cell to your . Even better comprehension. When I stream AND use Live Captions, I can even follow the most challenging calls (ex: strongly accented speakers).
[*]I realize the demo skews older, and some older people don't have a cell. But that percent has to be shrinking. Maybe single-digits?

I've been doing the same thing — live captions plus streaming the call to my hearing aids, and it's been a game changer for me on phone calls. The captions catch the parts I miss when someone talks fast, and streaming keeps the audio clear enough to follow along. It took me about a week to get used to watching the text, but now I barely notice the lag.

Live Caption on Galaxy phones are so much better.
I have one of the Captioning phone that I got for free a few years ago. Used it first day and never used it again, that thing had too long a delay, there's no point.
