Had Stapedectomy

I had a stapedectomy April 21/26 and I still have vertigo send bending over and getting in bed { most) and getting out of bed, now I can’t hear anything with that side .The surgeon said the ear drum looks fine , and get a hearing test in 2 - 3 months , is this normal? I had one on the left side 30 yrs ago , now I’m 69 , and before I didn’t have issues, when they did the left side.

I am not sure, but I was told that I needed one too because I have stapedial myoclonus and tensor tympani syndrome. I was told that it would make your hearing more sensitive. But how did they perform the surgery? I am curious as I haven’t decided whether to do it or not.
