Help With My Phonak App

Need some assistance with programming ‘My Phonak App’

So when I open App up pops ‘Automatic’ setting. When I tap (Adjust) at bottom I can see program settings and ‘Defaul’ highlighted in green.

So first question - is my current Default setting set up by my Audi (pre-set)? If set up by my Audi should I leave as is and then if I make any adjustments give (give a new name to adjustment save)?

Then when you save in default setting are you over riding the original 'Default" setting set up by Audi?

How many different defalut settings can you save or store on My Phonak App?

Now moving from Default setting to “Comfort” is this a seperate setting that needs to be saved along with changed Default setting? Of is 'Comfort adjustment - change) saved within Default setting? Just asking if I make Comfort ajdustment should I assign a new ‘saved name’?

Then when I move into Clarity addjustment can that adjustment be rolled into Default setting or Comfort setting, or is it another seperate saved category.

A little confusted here but if I make adjustments to comfort, clarity, Speech can I save all three new setting under one save title.

So then let’s say I have two or three preadjusted setting in My Phonak. When I turn on my and place in ear, will my Defalut setting first pop up. That being what my Audit set at the time of last visit or some adjustment I made through my phone - My Phonak app?

Then if I want to leave my 'Default" setting and move into one my saved programs I just go into ‘Select Hearing Program’ and scroll down to what ever program I saved? Then once actived my HA will stay in that “new saved program” until my aids are turned off or I revert back to default setting?

If I remember correctly there were issues years back with My Phonak App and ot saving pre-set setting for future use. As in every time aids were turned off the aid user might lose present settings. Is that still the case with My Phonak App.

I really want to see if I can make some adjustment to Paradise aids, but not sure the “make change, then save, then use” going forward.

Lastly if I want to clear previous changes or start from scratch is there a away to clear saved programs and just revert back to the original defualt setting my Audi set up to begin with.

Thanks for any suggestions, since Phonak reallly doesn’t expain how to use My Phonak App.

When you turn off your aids and then turn back on I’m going to assume aid program setting reverts or adjusts to the default setting originally set up by Audiologist?

So after that I assume you have to go into My Phonak app and then open what ever custom setting program already programmed in - to activate?

So it seems on my Phonak app is telling me I can add four custom programs. This question is if I set up some new ajdustment program for AutoSense, then I assume I only have three programs setting under “Comfort setting, Clarity and Speech” left. Starting to wonder if I’ll really be able to tell the difference in each app adjustment if all adjustments are basically the same for Comfort, then Clarity, then Speech. So (guessing here) it really comes down to trial and error and just testing each new custom program then deciding if its a keeper or not.

Just hope as I spend time searching for the “perfect customs setting” when it stored it stored for good. As in some what locked it and won’t disappear over time.

Firstly, your App alterations don’t override your Audiologists work, so rebooting,
will take you back to the original. You can make alterations, and “save as” a new App based programme. These “new” programmes should remain available in the App after a reboot of both the hearing aids and/or the App. However, if the base programme is altered by your Audiologist, the App programme will disappear.

Most audis will set up your aids so they start in Automatic. If you prefer to start in something else, your audi can make that change.

You can create custom programs for whatever situation your hearing aids are in; Calm Situation; Comfort in Noise; Speech in Noise; Speech in Loud Noise. Keep in mind that whatever you create, it’s based off of the original settings of each of the programs in AutoSense. If your audi adjusts any of the base programs, it will effect the custom programs you created. Trial and error? Yes, you may find that what works in one situation doesn’t work for another. It’s a challenge, no doubt about it.
