If you have an iPhone and they are still alive, try to find them with the app ‘ Scanner ‘ or similar Bluetooth LE app.

- The hearing aid app on his phone probably has a 'find my hearing aid' function.
- Generic 'find my Bluetooth device' apps sometimes work better.
- Stream something really loud and get the best ears in the family to listen out for the sound

There is no "find my hearing aid" app for my aids. Find Bluetooth Device Apps have worked very nicely, even in deep winter snow. I've needed that kind of app twice and quicky found the missing aid.

Stream a loud noise (e.g. siren, preferably intermittent) and listen carefully. Helped me find my infinios in the garden once. Stream to just one if you do not have someone with good hearing to help you out.

I have Sonova (Costco) KS-10s. They're supposedly roughly equivalent to 5 or 6 year old Phonak . Costco provides a subset of the MyPhonak iOS app, called "EasyLine Remote" (horrible name if you're 80, don't use the app often and suddenly realize you need to find one of your HAs). I don't think the app is capable of making the HAs utter a sound; it just puts a dot on your iPhone's screen that moves closer to an image of the HAs, but it has NOTHING of the capability of Apple's "FindMy" tech. Are there HAs available that are Apple "FindMy..." enhanced?
It's probably much less important for HAs than for other devices such as wallets, car keys, luggage, etc., since those are things you might set down, and the only reason one might "lose" a HA is in a physical accident where one or both are displaced from the ear(s). That has happened to me once, and no one knew to look for a HA while they were getting ready to fly me from the accident location to a neurosurgical trauma unit 100+ miles distant.
