How to replace hearing aid housing

Would you be able to help me with how to remove the casing? I’ve got tools small enough to remove the pins, however I’m wary of damaging anything. I’ve managed to pop the bottom pin out, but the one near the receiver seems alot tighter, which I’m afraid to use too much force with.

Any tips?

Any advice appreciated!
Thanks

1. What hearing aid?
2. What are you using for a tool? Sometimes pin pushing requires a firm pressure. But firm pressure can be two different things. For example, using a pin tool with a handle, and using a flattened needle with no handle.
3. How is your eyesight? In other words make sure you are pushing on a pin and not a microphone hole. Sorry if this statement seems too critical. It is not my meaning to be critical.

You should post a picture of the hearing aid. A closeup cellphone picture works, and you can upload it using the ^-Up Arrow on a forum post.

I am planning to change the housings on Oticon Mores. Has anyone done this or maybe got any tips.

Thanks

I’m thinking of doing this with my Oticon Opn, haven’t heard from OP, would be interested in hearing from someone who has attempted it.

I started with a stiff sewing needle clearly smaller than the pin in my Phonak CROS-B-13. Whatever you use, just be careful to apply steady even pressure on the pin. I had a blunt micro screwdriver, very tiny, in my small tools stuff, and holding the unit in one hand and the small pin pusher in the other, applied slow (very slow) steady pressure to the pin surface and it just sort of ‘popped’ and moved a little, enough to where a part of it was sticking out the other side. Then I used a small tweezer to grab that and slowly wiggle it out of the case. My Phonak CROS-13 has one little pin as the hinge for the battery door, one short pin (same size as the battery pin) up near the top, and one longer pin through the main body. A total of 3 little pins, 2 short one of equal length and one longer one. The stuff is small, so obviously watch you don’t lose the parts. And go easy so you don’t slip and scrape the case, though that wouldn’t be that important to how it works. After I got the first short pin out with the tweezers (it sticks out slightly after you push it in) I tweezered out the other two inside a gallon ziplock bag. Just to be sure I didn’t lose them. Pushing them through is safe from a ‘losing them’ standpoint. They don’t shoot through and end up on the table. They stick out a little on the other side but they still need a little wrangling to work them out of the unit. That’s where the danger of the pin flying across the table was for me, wiggling them out with the tweezers. So I did the second two in a see through plastic bag that caught them when they came out. I didn’t have the time to wait for the actual hearing aid tools. It worked for me. I must say I’m fairly handy doing small mechanical things, so proceed carefully just as I did.
I was able to clean out the three main sound ports and solve my problem. I was happily amazed that I was able to fix them! They’re 9 years old and I’ve been replacing the speaker wire on the Audeo B90 maybe 3-4 times. Their medical group I paid $5,500 quit selling hearing aids 2 years after I bought them. Go slow and look at where the parts all go once you get the case apart. It’s a busy place inside those little buggers.

I contacted the guy in S. Korea but he cannot obtain the colour change kits from Phonak in his country.
Does anyone have any other possible sources for Phonak colour change kits?

I searched far and wide when I was a Phonakian, but unfortunately I could only do it through a clinic, it was cheap tho
