I have been given another pair of new (used) hearing aids

A couple of years ago my friend gave me her mother’s Phonak M70-R hearing aids. I have a Noah link wireless and I programmed them to my hearing test but I never bonded with them. I didn’t wear them.

Now I’ve been given another pair: Oticon Real 2. I haven’t gotten them home yet but I’m wearing them with the original user’s program but they seem to be much better anyway.

So, ive got dome more fun to look forward to!

Your hearing test / audiograhm is just the starting point … Without real ear, you have to use in-situ testing which compensate for difference in hearing aids and receivers and coupling(molds or domes).

I guess it’s in situ.

Yeah, I’ll probably have to get an audiologist but still, it’s encouraging that they seem like I might hope to get to use them.

You could get the Oticon software (from tenkan) and see how they are set now, compared to your . Make small adjustment, and see what happens.

Yes, that will be a great plan. I’m away from home out of state at the moment, which is where I got the Oticon , and my computer and Noah Link are back home, but I’ll be following up on that course ad soon as I can.
