I have Infinio Sphere 90s. Would a Roger On device add much?

I’m thinking about asking my work to purchase me a Roger On device. I hope that this would help my ability to hear in loud conference rooms, and especially to have whispered conversations at big events and meetings which is an important part of my job I struggle with. Does anyone have any insight on whether a Roger On would add much beyond my Infinio Spheres? I will be trialing a pair in a couple of weeks, but I can’t get the question out of my head. My left ear has mild hearing loss and my right ear has moderate to profound hearing loss. I’m also unsure if asking my office to purchase a Roger On would exceed “reasonable accommodations” because they are very expensive at like $1500. Thanks!

I would see how the Spheres work out for you before pursuing the Roger, I find that I seldom use the Roger after getting my spheres. The spheres really help in close one on one conversations in noisey circumstances. They don’t help as much, however, if you wear open domes or ear molds with large vents because the noise will bypass the aids and go directly into the ear. In this case the Roger may be helpful. The other case where the Roger continues to be very helpful is when a speaker who is not near you actually wears the Roger. My advice is to wear the spheres for a while and then evaluate whether the Roger would be helpful.

My friend has lots of big big event meetings and she got an extra program added called Soft Sounds where the soft sounds are increased. She’s finds it handy as it allows her to hear softly spoken people. It also helps her in lecture rooms as she can pick up the lecturer better.
