I am considering purchasing trial hearing aids (Phonak or Unitron) and I know that after approximately 6–8 weeks a reset is required, otherwise they will start emitting a "beep" and eventually stop to function. As I understand it, a Noahlink is necessary to act as a wireless "bridge" between the and the SW; please correct me if I am wrong. Currently, I only own a desktop PC and an android smartphone but I will need to reset HAs while away from home, so using my desktop PC is not an option.
Is buying a laptop/tablet the only viable solution for managing trial HAs on the go? Is there any way to handle this directly via an android smartphone or through a cheaper alternative?
For context, I also have an old legacy laptop equipped with an Intel Pentium M Centrino 1.6 GHz 32-bit CPU and 1.25 GB DDR1 RAM.
