After having a mother who spent tens of thousands of dollars chasing ‘new and improved’ hearing aids I was a serious doubter. To me the sales pitches were always a scam. Now I am finally giving in and currently trying Elehear Beyond aids. Yes, they do help some. But I still have my doubts… I am looking into buying the smallest open domes as backups. Elehear has not been a big help. Is there an industry standard for domes? Can I find other maker or generic open domes that will fit the in canal end of the Beyond model? Latest quote was $30 for 6 small size open domes. Am I wrong in feeling this is price gouging? BTW I am still in the trial period and have almost returned them numerous times as I struggle with them. The settings of volume, noise cancellation, and tone themselves are fine. It is the dome size and wire length that are my current challenges. Please tell me I am not about to go down the same expensive rabbit hole my mother went down.
