Hi everyone,
Just bought second hand Oticon Siya, and wanted to fit them. Firstly I was asked to do firmware update, but since it can only be done with wired programmer ( stupid, have to say), I had to ignore that update. Next step , connecting aids - only 1 can connect, another one won’t. I suspect that there is an issue with aid, but it works normally. Also, it can connect to my iphone, which, IMO, eliminates bluetooth as a culprit. Any suggestion?

It may well be that the one that won’t connect needs the firmware update, it also may not connect if it’s been programmed with a later version of Genie.
Have you tried updating Genie software.

Ok so next to try is getting the HiPro and do the firmware update, they go pretty cheap on eBay, of course you’ll need the cables and the FlexConnect for the miniRight models.

Latest Version of Genie software I see is 2020.2.1

Check ON Oticon to see if the left and right AIDS firmware versions are the same, if they are, there is no need to update the firmware.

Can the firmware be updated within the App, just like ReSound and Widex, if so that would save the hassle of getting the HiPro.

I don’t think it can. They don’t allow update via Noah link wireless, so the rule is no update firmware wirelessly, probably due to concern over wireless connection (in)stability
