Just got my Edge Ai

And I am wondering if it was a mistake?

I have spent the last two days following set up steps, pairing it to my phone and troubleshooting as needed.

The Star Key app wont find and connect to the hearing aid on my phone (iPhone 13) but works fine on my husbands (Samsung Galaxy)

What phones work for people using this device?

What else should I know?

iPhones are fully compatible with the Edge.
Could you please provide the complete steps you followed for the pairing process? Did you attempt to reset the aids? Are the aids connected to the Galaxy when you are doing the pairing?

You say the app can’t find the aids – did you do the pairing first via the IOS settings menu? In the IOS settings menu , are they paired?

If the aids are paired but the app can’t find them, try deleting the app and reinstalling

I paired them to the phone yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice.

My husband isnt home when I am trying and yesterday when I was on with support she had him forget the hearing aid from his device.

I dont know what else to do after two days of trying beside by a new phone

So the aids are paired to your phone , you are able to stream (I’m assuming this since you said they were paired) but the app does not see the aids ? Is this correct ?

Strange in theory they should work fine. I have seen other posts. Where people have had better luck with newer samsung and google pixel phones. Sorry not an iPhone fan can’t give good advice for the model you have. May just search starkey edge ai discussion. You’ll probably come across some good information. Really hate to say you’ll probably need an upgrade. Either newer model iPhone or different brand phone. Try tech support again even though they probably tell you to reset and forget everything than repair. I do hope it works next time you try to fix it.

Don’t try having two phones paired. Forget in one of them. It is fine one at a time for testing purposes. I think that’s just asking for confusing trouble to have two paired.

Some hearing aids apps, like Jabra and ReSound need you to turn your off and then put them back into pairing mode again to connect to the app. Others, like Phillips and Oticon give you a prompt asking if you want to pair your hearing aids. I’m surprised the app doesn’t prompt you when you first open it.

Pairing your hearing aid with an Apple device

Follow the steps below to pair your hearing aids to your Apple mobile device. (If your hearing aids lose connection to your mobile device, try the steps again.)

  1. Tap the Settings icon. Select Accessibility > Hearing Devices. (If the Bluetooth toggle shows OFF, move it to ON.)

  2. Turn your hearing aids OFF and then ON to activate pairing mode.

  3. Under MFI Hearing Devices you should see your (e.g. “Jane’s hearing aids”). Tap this.

  4. A dialog box pops up for each hearing aid (RIGHT and LEFT). Tap Pair for each dialog box.

Pairing is complete.

Just a clarification: berettadm1’s procedure plates the to your iphone, but it doesn’t pair them to the HA app. That’s another process the app should walk you thru when you open the app after you have paired them to your iphone if the procedure he described. It’s a two step pairing for the IOS.

Did you get this resolved? I have the Starkey Omega 24 and it works just fine with my IPhone 13 mini (IOS 26.3.1) and my IPad. MyStarkey app version is 6.0.1. Are you running the latest IOS and MyStarkey versions?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I didn’t get it resolved on the iPhone. The iPhone itself would pair but the app would never find the phone. Soooo I read what phones seemed to work for others with this and I ordered a used Pixel 6a and it came in the mail last night and everything works fine on it! My next audiologist appointment isn’t until 4/17 and I didn’t want to wait that long. Thank you

Are pairing it through accessibility hearing devices or just you try to find out your by Bluetooth scanning?
