While I strongly recommend you seek the to take care of your hearing aids unit.
Maybe it’s an easy fix.
Can you connect hearing aids to the phone? Do you have an app for hearing aids? This is easy to check if hearing aids working properly. You can even check hearing aids battery in app if it is really charged.
Can you post a pic of the hearing aids so maybe someone can get a look at them?
It’s hard to tell what’s going on with the problem with it via just short text.
I assume you have / hearing aids style. Since you mentioned charging.
Pic of receiver(speaker), especially sound bore/hole - Maybe there is wax clogged.
Pic of the wire or tube of receiver(speaker) - Maybe something broken inside the wire/tube.
Pic of the wire/tube connected to the hearing aids body - Maybe it loosened or dislodged or the lock is broken so it can be loose.

I believe @mami2529 is giving good advice! Verifying absence of wax and presence of charge, independent of having been cleaned and put in charger, is good troubleshooting. Maybe moisture is a factor, too? You might consider using a dessicant jar or a dryer/dehumidifier if you have one.
