Looks like I’ll need to replace my laptop soon and it’d make sense to get something that is bluetooth compatible with my Resound Vivia 9s (like Jabra 30s). Wondering if anybody has recommendations? Oh yeah.. on a budget…

Windows 11 as it’s supporting LE audio as well, not just classic. Of course there’s plenty of really cheap Bluetooth dongles that supports latest Bluetooth versions, so you could buy just about any cheaper laptop and just plug in the dongle, FlooGoo, etc

As far as I know, Vivia can connect to one device at a time with . So if you connect Vivia to your laptop with LE Audio, you can’t control it with your phone at the same time.

You’re going to have to go through the connectivity specs of each laptop that you consider to check that it is compatible with Bluetooth . Checking the Windows version number or the Bluetooth version number is not enough. It needs the right hardware built in.

Thank you, that’s helpful and sounds like a handy solution. Would it deliver the same though? Would I be able to talk through the mic on Zoom calls, for example? Or only receive audio?

The C82 Aura is a Transmitter i.e. it will only allow you to receive audio from your laptop but providing that you’re happy to use your microphone on your laptop then you can use it for Zoom/Teams calls.

Dongles are great and I’m not sure what practical difference it makes apart from giving you the ability to control the hearing aids from your laptop, but… No way would I buy a laptop without it having native support for .
Edit: Ok, here’s one difference. Nothing to lose or break.
