I currently have Phonak Audéo P90 aids and will be receiving Audéo I90-Spheres tomorrow. I’m wondering about best practices to maintain the batteries in the Audéo P90s that will be the backup set?
I believe for lithium ion, it’s recommended to store long term at 40 -60% charge, and it’s not ideal to store at 100%. Easy enough to accomplish the 40-60% by using them for part of the day, but then how long would they hold that charge before going dead and possibly not being able to be recharged at a later date?
I’m considering recharging them at 6 months then draining to 40-60% again before they go back in storage. Any experts care to weigh in?
