turn off more programs, some of which had been turned down. That wasn’t enough, they had to be OFF
but why? What’s the problem with the other programs in parallel with the music one?

I prefer to have “mix with microphone turned on” just microphone level changed to 100%. Otherwise there are annoying dips, and additional latency any time streamed audio starts.

this means that while you are listening to music you also hear the surrounding so best is to lower to 50% or even less, or, off to 0%

I know how it works… I prefer to hear the environment [it’s called transparency mode in earbuds]. Streaming sound is much louder than environment anyway. Plus it doesn’t change the sound quality.
