Hi everyone :waving_hand: — I’m the developer of a small iPhone app and I’m looking for honest feedback from people who live with hearing loss.

The problem I’m trying to solve: in group conversations, it’s not always clear who started speaking or who is talking now. Memmoro shows the name of registered speakers when they talk — not captions, not a transcript.

How it works:
• Register people you know (10–20 sec voice sample + optional photo)
• Tap Start listening — when they speak near the phone, their name appears
• Everything stays on your device — voice is not uploaded to a server

What it is NOT:
• Not captions / CART / live transcription
• Not a relay service or replacement for hearing aids
• Not speech-to-text

Free for 3 people. iOS only for now.

Obviously we usually look around to see whose lips are moving.

A totally different idea:

Would a different app be able to use a Compass style Arrow to show from which direction a sound is coming from?

My hearing loss has also caused a loss of directional hearing. Not sure what is the correct terminology.

Regarding the direction of sound, it seems like not so trivial work because the typical mic in a cells are not catching direction of sound well.
