I’m using Oticon Intent hearing aids with my Samsung Galaxy S26. Duplex audio is working for phone calls but the other person says there is a lot of background noise causing difficulty hearing me. I’ve resorted to using the phone microphone by default unless I know I’m in a quiet environment. I know modern cell phones do a very good job of filtering out background noise in calls. Is there a simple way to get similar results through the ? I thought about changing to Comfort program or even muting the HAs, but have not investigated sufficiently.
I have the same issue, particularly in calls to my wife from outdoor locations like farm markets. She complains she cannot hear me over people talking around me so … I’ve made it a point to just use the phone when trying to talk with her from markets and stores. Most other folks I call are either from home or in the car. I use the for cell calls from the house for ease in note taking, etc., particularly if dealing with medical folks. We have a hard line in the house but I cannot hold a phone to my ear and take notes well at all.
We provide a special firmware version 1.1.6.4 for the FlooGoo FMA120/121 to address this issue. It was originally developed at the request of Phonak users on this forum who wanted to use their phone’s built-in microphone during calls.
Please note that you will need to unpair the hearing aids from your S26, since in this setup you will not be using the phone’s native function. Instead, pair the hearing aids directly with the dongle.
After pairing, plug the dongle into the phone. In this configuration, the hearing aids will function as output-only devices, while the phone’s built-in microphone will be used whenever microphone input is needed.
Stream audio from your phone, laptop, TV, or other devices with the FMA121. Featuring both USB-C and 3.5 mm inputs, it connects easily to a wide range of sources. | ™ broadcast, LE Audio pipeline like FMA120, plus analog 3.5 mm input and...

Thanks for the confirmation, @eliotb . This is pretty much what I’m doing, absent any land-line phone. Have you tried other program settings for comparison? I may test further, though I actually don’t get that many phone calls to worry about.
Thanks for the suggestion, @Ranson . I don’t think this would accomplish what I’m looking for. I already have the ability to switch the microphone function for calls to the phone microphone without adding a dongle. I also have the Oticon adapter available but am no longer using it for this purpose since I upgraded to an S26 with native LE Audio. I’ll keep investigating.
