Moxi All R - 700 RIC - How to upgrade to Pro

Hi All,

I’ve just bought a couple of Moxi All 700 from ebay as backup hearing aids. Seller lists them as Moxi All Pro R, but the are not and I have pointed that out.

I could be that the seller is unaware. They work fine and not defective in anyway at all.

On the TrueFit Software, there is an option to upgrade this technology to Pro, so, my question is, is this a Software upgrade, is this something I can do myself, pay extra and unlock to the next levels or is it new hardware.

Not sure whether to send them back as not as described but want to check out my options first.

You could always try to upgrade them and see what happens.

I’m not that experienced with the Unitron software.

I’ve got Unitron T Max UP Trial Flex .

The “technology change” settings on my Moxi All 600s are grayed out. Perhaps the missing Flex Upgrade code is the cause, although I would have expected that code to be for the permanent (paid) upgrade, not the trial. According to the docs, free trials are unlimited. I’m happy with the 600 level, but I would like to try the other levels to see if I can objectively tell the difference in performance.

It appears that Unitron is limiting the upgrade feature with software, while Phonak is limiting it with hardware.

Actually I thought you need the Flex Trial to be able to change the software upgrades, as in you can’t just change any Unitron HA you have to have the ones marked as flex trial and they are limited to the trial period?

Replying to my own post - uninstalled Truefit, reinstalled and updated to Version 4. Checked again and the options were no longer grayed out. Changed the aids to the Pro version, same fitting. Can’t tell the difference so far. Aids show up now as Pro, on trial. Code is still blank, presume it’s required when one makes the change permanent.
