Is there some reason you don’t want to use an MP3 player on your phone? I use Musicolet, a very lightweight app. Doesn’t even need the Internet. Uses Bluetooth to connect to my “ears”.

Thanks for getting back to me! I’m really into gardening, so I’m on the hunt for a lightweight MP3 player, ideally around 30g, that I can easily slip into my pocket or clip onto my shirt. My phone weighs 200g and feels a bit too bulky to carry around when I’m weeding/pruning, etc!

I am surprised you say this. Phonaks are Bluetooth monsters- I have been connecting mine to all kinds of sources here. are not found in many at all, moreover, you get mono sound, not great for music in particular.

Thanks for all the feedback. I ordered an AGPTEK MP3 from Amazon and successfully paired it with my hearing aids. For the last twenty years, I have been prescribed basic OTICON hearing aids and struggled with the telephone, TV and music. However, thanks to the NHS/Specsavers, my new prescription Phonaks have brought me into the 21st century! I took my new MP3 player for a spin yesterday and noticed my neighbour giving me a puzzled look when I bopped around the garden, re-familiarising myself with Tubular Bells. But honestly, who cares! It felt amazing! https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BSFCT4GD?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=116

Although your phone can do everything a dedicated music player does there are reasons to carry a separate music player instead. But, most who make those claims seem to carry their phone and the music player. That seems to be nuts.
