Hello
Thank you, @ronshere and @tenkan, for taking the time to reply.
Before purchasing these hearing aids, I specifically asked Boots whether they were locked, as I had previously owned hearing aids from Specsavers and was told that those could not be reprogrammed by a third party. At the time, Boots assured me that their devices were not locked. Since I am currently living in Greece, I contacted Boots Hearingcare support for assistance. Their response was as follows: "The software to program these Hearing aids is called Target and is a proprietary piece of software. If the Audiologist in Greece deals with Phonak hearing aids, then they should already have that software. The only way to download this software is through Phonak and requires a specific login for them. The device to communicate to the hearing aids is a Noahlink, which creates a wireless link to the hearing aids". As you can see, they referred specifically to Phonak Target software and did not mention any restriction, lock, or the need for a different fitting platform.
This is why I am a little confused. My audiologist does have Noahlink Wireless and Phonak Target, but the hearing aids are simply not recognised correctly.
Does anyone know whether the AudioNova B1-312 sold by Boots is definitely a Unitron-based device that requires Aura:Fit AudioNova software, or whether there is another explanation for the compatibility issue? Any advice or experience with these particular models would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you again for your help!!!
