Need suggestions for remove distortion with Oticon Genie

Hello, I hope to clear a mysterious distortion occurring on my Oticon Intent 1.
Often I get a sort of buzzing listening female voices, in particular with “A” and “E” letters.
It happens from the first time that I wear the aids, initially with 85 receiver and .
Now I have 100 receivers and Signia sleeve domes (the left is vented, the right closed). The audiologis makes Rem after replacement of the receivers, made new settings and the distortion decreased, but it reappears when female voices volume get higher.
I tried to intercept the frequencies that give me this problem, and it seems are 125,250,500, and from 3200 to 5500.
I reduced a little bit Mpo on these frequencies (1-2 units) and it seems going better, but this buzzing still remains and I would like to understand more in order to make the correct modifications.
The settings made from audiologist are enough good, just a little tinny.

Hi there, actually I’m not really sure what could be causing this issue, sounds to me your audiologist has tried the obvious, but I think with your loss you shouldn’t be getting distortion as such, especially as you’ve gone for the more powerful receiver, feedback.. possibly? make sure there’s no leakage from those sleeves, but you could try, you can change the formula used, add other programs for NAL, etc as a experiment, next you’ll probably want to use the Speech Rescue () as well to move some of those higher frequencys down, you could use a tone generator to see if you can find the “exact frequency” as it’s odd you state so many different frequencies are causing this distortion.

@tenkan many thanks for your reply. I tried both links, the voice that makes aids buzzing is Livia, and as second Isabella. The frequencies involved are aprox from 3000 to 4000.

I’m searching Clear dynamic settings but can’t find it. Perhaps they have another name for Intent 1?

I tried also to set Speech rescue but I’m not sure how to make a reasonable setting: My concern is to lost good frequencies

Let Genie2 decide what level to set it at, genie uses a default “based on your , but a bit of experimentation is the key, plus I’m pretty sure intent has Clear dynamics, I’d recommend you read the user guides to help you along and to understand how genie works you have a demo simulation mode to play around with. Nice YouTube video here, also shows you where to get the guides etc

After many attempts and reading tons of messages, for the moment the best solution is to reduce the gain on involved frequencies, that were setted too high.

But the buzzing remains, and it seems that the problem is also the dome. Considerating the unsatisfactory results with my old aids and custom earmolds, I will try other domes with my new aids, in order to reduce this vibration
